چکیده

In response to an estimation of the likelihood of occurrence of the Tonankai and Nankai earthquakes, it is predicted that tsunami damage will occur in the JR Osaka Station area, the third biggest business center in Japan. The purpose of this study is to propose a system that evaluates the effectiveness of tsunami evacuation guidance and tsunami countermeasures, based on computer simulation of behavior of evacuees. There are many companies, department stores, hotels, large underground shopping centers and railway/ subway stations in this area. Various kinds of elements must be considered in order to plan safe evacuation. For example, there must be major disruptions between people who try to evacuate from buildings and people who try to get out of the underground shopping center and buildings. In this paper, the first step of the study is reported, that is an evacuation simulator to collect data fundamental for devising a method for inducing evacuation. Keywords-Tsunami; earthquake; simulation; multi-agent system; Osaka City; evacuation.

Simulation of Metro Train Fire in an Underground Station of Tehran Metro Line 7

In this research a fire scenario was simulated in one of the stations of the line 7 of Tehran's subway system. The Line 7 is under construction and the ventilation system is under design. Fire was set for a stopping metro train at the platform of the station. A 160 meter length eight-car metro train with the forth wagon on the fire was studied. The heat release rate is based on a quadratic f...

Agent-based Simulation of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Evacuation: An Integrated Model of Tsunami Inundation and Evacuation

The 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake/Tsunami was a magnitude 9.0 Mw event that destroyed most structural tsunami countermeasures. However, approximately 90% of the estimated population at risk from the tsunami survived due to rapid evacuation to higher ground or inland. In this paper, we introduce an evacuation model integrated with a numerical simulation of a tsunami and a casualty estimation ...

Simulation of Evacuation Behavior from Tsunami Utilizing Multi Agent System

The simulation model of evacuation behavior from tsunami is constructed utilizing Multi-Agent-System in this study. The validity of the simulation model is verified by applying it to the case of Aonae, Okushiri Island during the Southwest-off Hokkaido Earthquake of 1993. And results of some case studies for winter earthquake show that snow conditions affect evacuation behavior greatly, and that...

Development of Traffic Simulation for Tsunami Evacuation - Case Study for Kesennuma city -

During the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake, many residents living coastal area used car for their evacuation from mega Tsunami. Due to the rapidly increased traffic demand in road network and also trouble of traffic signals, heavy traffic congestions occurred in the road network. At first, this research investigated the condition of car evacuation in Kesennuma city. Secondly, ts...
